The mas band CONNECTIONS was inherited from a former bandleader who competed with some success in the nineties as Toronto Caribbean Connections. Seeking to establish a new identity for the band, the old name was dropped and it presently campaigns as an Ontario Non-Profit Corporation known as “CONNECTIONS MASTUMES BAND”. The name MASTUMES was derived was from a combination of the words MASquerade and cosTUMES. Our objective as a mas band is to facilitate the multi-cultural society of Toronto and environs in participating in our annual Toronto Caribbean Carnival. We also encourage participation from visitors of other countries.
