EventDetails

Caribana Pan Alive @ Lamport Stadium

The Toronto Caribana Festival and The Ontario Steel Band association present Pan Alive 2011, Canada's premiere Steel Pan competition happening Friday, July 29th at Lamport Stadium. Some of North America's best Steel Pan orchestras will compete for the title of Caribana 2011's Best Steel Band. Throughout the night the audience will be treated to some of the best live Caribbean flavoured percussion and steel drumming. The panel of judges will judge performance on arrangement, group performance, the tone and general application of rhythm. Of course, the audience will base our favourites on how hard we are pushed to dance.

The 2011 Toronto Caribana Festival's presentation of Pan Alive 2011 takes place Friday, July 29th at Lamport Stadium (1151 King St West) from 7pm - 12am.

Hi does anyone know what number pan fantasy is in the 2011 caribana parade

  • kim said on Jul. 29, 2011:

I guess? if you want to 'jump up' and 'IN' to the parade is OK...as that's what happens west of the CNE grounds. The lovely display of colours and dancers is so LOST here..just a bunch of bodies, mostly drunk, following trucks with loud music, so close the music is lost..just NOISE at that point.

ohh event is finished...I thought was evening event.
However, like most Caribana events...not run well, (from previous comments and past experience..paid for seating at the CNE grounds 4 years ago and view was mostly blocked by the music/trucks most of the time ..was so bad!) and tickets mean almost nothing. Hope Scotia can make it accessible to most ticket buyers. But will now wait for more reviews before I pay for a Ticket again.

I also have been trying to get tickets the online link doesn't work, I filled out the form and someone is suppose to get in touch with me and as of now ,no one has. I finally got through on the phone and the answer was not much help, I will have to go to their office to get the tickets, that's not good at all and it must be in cash not good..
