Covid 19 Updates

Caribana Updates Regarding Covid-19 (Coronavirus)

We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation as it continues to unfold, and stand prepared to respond and adapt to emerging government-mandated protocol. As Caribana weekend is still four months away, it is still going forward as planned. We encourage you to check this page and follow us on Instagram for updates.

April 8th Update
On April 8th, 2020, The City of Toronto along with the festival management committee canceled year’s parade.  They are still looking to host events in a smaller, more traditional format. operates independently from the parade organizers as Caribana is a weekend-long celebration with dozens of events beyond the parade.  We facilitate hotel packages and events that take place throughout Caribana weekend. While the official parade has been canceled, events are still scheduled to take place.

We completely understand how frustrating this is for you. The COVID-19 situation has impacted every person and business, big and small.  In an ideal world, we would be able to issue refunds to our customers who cannot attend this year’s event. For transparency, there are many upfront costs that come with event planning, including staff payroll and supplier payments that are non-refundable, which is why we’ve always maintained a no refund policy with our customers. The following links have our Terms and Conditions and Refund Policy

We know that some customers are unable to attend this year's events, and we’ve added the option to defer event tickets and hotel packages to 2021, 2022, or 2023, with a window until May 30th, 2020 to make this decision. All customers that have purchased hotel and weekend passes will be emailed.

This is an unprecedented situation and we are in this together. We want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your continued support.

Will you be offering refunds if the Caribana weekend is canceled?
As per our Terms and Conditions, we do not offer refunds. However, you will be issued a credit of equal value that can be used toward Caribana events and/or hotel packages in 2021 or 2022. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer refunds.
