EventDetails
De Caribana Lime / Tropical Rhythms @ Ontario Place
De Scotiabank Caribana Lime 2010 is being held on Sunday, August 1st at Ontario Place (CNE) from 12 noon until 8pm. So, stop in for lunch and stay for dinner because there will plenty of yummy Caribbean treats to feast on, offered by over a hundred food vendors. This year's Caribana Festival introduces the first ever "Grace Tropical Rhythms Food Festival" presented by Grace Foods. You and the whole family can sample Caribbean and Latin cuisine with dishes like BBQ Jerk chicken & fish, rice dishes such as seafood paella, rice & peas and sweet or salty plantains are just a few dishes to savour.
De Caribana Lime 2010 at the CNE will feature games, live shows, delicious Caribbean food, culture and dancing. Yes, Ontario Place will be bumping with great music - reggae, soca and hip hop, just in case you haven't danced enough this weekend. We were REALLY disappointed with the De Lime festival. Over a hundred food vendors? Unless you count all the CNE vendors I think we saw maybe 6 and the big taste of paradise wasn't open/ready at 14:00. Entertainment was great, especially the Silver Stars, but food was a joke. Won't be back next year:(

Is there a schedule of events? Who are the live entertainers/performers?

$20 just to get in? Seems a bit steep when I'm only interested in the food.

I went to an event at Ontario Place last year and food was NOT included in the price.
